Executive MBA Prospectus Checklist: 25 Details to Verify
A prospectus should reduce uncertainty. If it creates more ambiguity about the award, delivery, fee or academic rules, pause before applying and ask for the underlying regulation or current batch document.
Identity and award
Check the institution's legal name, exact programme title, awarding body, final award wording, delivery mode, campus and admission session. Confirm whether the document is current and whether any partner has an academic or only marketing role.
- Award title and awarding authority
- University degree, diploma, executive qualification or institutional certificate
- Programme code, batch and mode
- Applicable regulations and regulator evidence
Academic operating model
Review duration, credits, course sequence, attendance, live teaching, campus visits, examination mode, group work, projects, progression and maximum completion period.
Ask for sample schedules and assessment rules if the prospectus uses only broad phrases such as flexible learning or industry-oriented curriculum.
Commercial and outcome terms
Build the complete price from tuition, taxes, registration, materials, examinations, re-attempts, campus travel, immersion and convocation. Read refund and deferral terms before the first payment.
Any placement or salary statement should identify the exact programme, cohort and evidence. Counselling support is not the same as placement.

- Verify five identity fields: institution, programme, award, mode and session.
- Count credits, live hours, campus days and assessments.
- Calculate every mandatory and likely additional charge.
- Read refund, deferral and re-attempt rules.
- Demand programme-specific evidence for outcome claims.
