Executive MBA Placements: What the Outcome Data Really Means
Placement belongs to an exact programme and cohort. An institution's flagship two-year MBA report cannot be used as evidence for its online, weekend or executive programme unless the report explicitly includes that course.
Full-time versus work-alongside outcomes
Full-time residential programmes may run a formal placement process because participants have left employment. Weekend, modular and online programmes often assume students remain employed and may offer coaching, job boards or networking rather than campus placement.
Neither model is inherently better. It must match whether you want external transition, internal promotion or capability for a current business role.
Questions for any placement number
Ask how many students were eligible, opted in, received offers and accepted them. Clarify whether salary figures are fixed pay, total compensation or maximum packages and whether sponsored candidates are excluded.

Build your own outcome case
Define a target role and identify the gap the programme closes: credential, business breadth, network, technical capability or transition support. Speak to alumni with a similar starting profile.
No responsible directory can promise a salary increase. Use evidence and a conservative recovery period when calculating return on investment.
